When are you open?

We are open 7 days a week, from noon until 8pm.

Does it hurt?

Yes, all tattooing and body piercing does hurt some. However, that pain is bearable and it is only temporary. The majority of the time people say the anticipation is far worse than the actual event.

How can I prepare for a tattoo or piercing?

Eat before you come in, dress appropriately, and make sure you have any reference materials your practitioner might need. You are welcome to bring a friend to accompany you and please show up on time.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept credit or debit, but cash is always king.

Does the price include a tip?

No, gratuity is not included. Tips are never expected but, as with most service industries, they are always appreciated.

Can you tattoo me with glow in the dark ink?

No, we stick to inks that we know will hold up for many decades to come and that have no known health risk.

Is your jewelry “surgical steel”?

No. Surgical steel is a made up phrase originally devised to sell kitchen utensils. Anyone using that phrase is either intentionally trying to mislead you or just doesn’t know any better. For stainless steel to be acceptable for piercings it needs to be implant grade (ASTM F-138). That being said, we still opt to not pierce with any variety of steel as there are better options available.

Well then what do you pierce with?

All of our jewelry for initial piercings is made in America and either implant grade titanium (ASTM F-136), solid 14kt & higher gold, glass, or niobium. All of our jewelry is either internally threaded or threadless and meets all standards set by the Association of Professional Piercers (APP).

Can I get a piercing if I am underage?

Yes. We will perform earlobe piercings starting at 6 years old, and select body piercings at 14. The piercing of a minor is always at the piercer’s discretion and we will only pierce minors who want the piercing themselves and are not being coerced into getting it. Please call the shop for details or with any questions.

Do I need an appointment to get tattooed or pierced?

No, we always welcome walk-ins when we have the availability to accommodate them. While we will make our best effort to tattoo you on the spot, if we are busy or if your design requires some preparation time on our part, we may need to make an appointment for you.

Do appointments require a deposit?

All appointments do require a deposit that comes off the cost of the tattoo or piercing. Deposits are absolutely NON-REFUNDABLE nor are they transferrable to another person. However, if you must reschedule your appointment you can call the shop or contact your artist directly no later than closing time on the business day prior to the appointment and GGTC will gladly hold the deposit until you can reschedule it for a future date. In the event of a multi-session piece, your deposit will roll over until the final appointment.

How do I make an appointment?

You can stop by or call the shop anytime during normal business hours or you can contact the artist directly.

How much does a tattoo cost?

Tattoo prices vary depending upon several different factors, size and complexity being the main considerations. Our artist price everything extremely fairly. You might be able to get it done for cheaper, but I can assure you it will not be a better deal. Please feel free to stop by at anytime for a specific quote.

Is it a clean environment?

We at GGTC pride ourselves on being one of the cleanest and classiest studios in the greater Austin Metro area. Most of the supplies used in your tattoo or piercing are totally disposable and the few things that need to be reprocessed are sterilized in our top of the line autoclave sterilizers that are spore tested once a week to guarantee they are working properly. Aside from that our artists are trained in the latest aseptic procedural techniques.

My question wasn't answered here, what should I do?
